Due to the COVID-19 lockdown schools and colleges were conducting online classes nearly for a year. Meanwhile, the Government of TamilNadu has permitted to conduct Physical classes. And the classes started for final Semester students from 7’Dec 2020 and first semester students from 8’Feb 2021, by following the standard operating procedure. As this was the time for the online semester exam, Anna university has published the timetable for the first semester UG Students. Following this, the modes to conduct Internal Assessments and Lab Exam for even semester UG/PG Anna University courses has been published.

As per Anna University, the internal assessments shall be conducted in either Online or Physical mode. Further, each one of the internal assessments shall be conducted, following any one of the modes (a) and (b) with the weightage of marks 75% and 25%. Similarly, the time allotted for the assessment is 1 hour. And if the student faces any network issue or power failure, another opportunity shall be given or alternative arrangements shall be provided.
Mode A: Anyone mode from the following the 75% weightage of marks
- To Provide uniquely customized assignments to individual students
- To conduct the quiz in the written mode in Microsoft teams platforms
- To conduct an open book test
- To evaluate presentation made by students on case studies
- Conduct of written test in Physical mode
Mode B: Anyone mode from the following with 25% weightage of marks
- To conduct one to one online quiz
- Course Projects/Group Projects shall be given
- Any other mode as decided by the course instructor.
And for MBA Programme both the above modes are to be followed but with 50% weightage for both Mode A and B. Furthermore, the Lab Exam for all UG/PG Programmes will be conducted in physical mode.
